Unique Adventures with Saltee

Discover staycations with a twist

With travel on hold for the moment, we find ourselves searching for the perfect escape, nearer to home.  Exploring the UK can be just as exciting and memorable as our long-haul holidays.  With plenty of beautiful hotspots, stunning coasts and cities full of character we’ve got something a little different for you. Our list of unique stays in the UK will get you counting down the days until you set off on your new (local) adventure.

Swinging from the trees

When it comes to glamping, The Woodsman Treehouse is another level of amazing.  It has everything you need for that perfect escape with ultimate peace and quiet.  Be one with nature but also fully enjoy the luxuries of your private deck-side hot tub, spiral staircase that leads to your outdoor rainwater shower, cosy hammock, indoor copper bath with a view, central wood burner AND even a slide. A woodland wonderland in the heart of Dorset.

Sustainable and eco-friendly

The Scarlet Hotel in Cornwall have taken responsibility for reducing the negative impacts their actions and activities have on the environment and their local community. Their ‘Cherish the World’ ethos, which is embraced by their whole team, is not simply something that they feel is right, it has become their way of life. Immerse yourself. Recharge and reconnect.  With beautiful views of the Cornish coast you’ll find no end of things to do here.

Art Deco Retreat

Step back to the 1940’s and enjoy a relaxing weekend in a WWII Control Tower, on the edge of the former RAF base at North Creake. This Art Deco styled B&B is a cross between your Nana’s house and a museum – full of fabulous wartime art and memorabilia. Continuing with the retro vibe, The Dial House in the pretty market town of Reepham in mid Norfolk is fabulously ’70’s funk luxe. Cocktail bar, secret dining areas and a record player in every room.

Cosy Cottages in The Cotswolds

Located in Bibury (famously called the ‘most beautiful village England’ by William Morris’) Bibury has a new, socially-distanced, ice cream parlour plus lots of riverside walks to enjoy. Or head to the lovely, thatched Orchard Cottage in Broadway with metro-feel Chipping Campden just around the corner.

Be one with nature

Contemporary design meets the beauty of nature at the Sussex AirShip, a state-of-the-art structure created to counter the problems with prefabricated and timber buildings. Designed by Roderick James Architects this aluminium and stainless-steel pod sits in its own private piece of woodland in the West Sussex hamlet of Five Oaks.  The domed windows at one end offer stunning views down into the valley. There is also a wood stove and charcoal, logs, kindling and fire lighters are available to buy from the hosts, so you can hunker down for a cosy night in with a book and a good glass of wine.

Wherever you’re looking to head for your next adventure.  Ensure you have Saltee by your side.  With a beautiful collection of face and body products and NEW Saltee hands sanitising hand gel, perfect for safe, clean, protected hands on-the-go.
