Canary Islands – Lanzarote

The national parks provide a playground for trekking and we encourage you to visit the tunnel of Atlantis, the largest underwater volcanic tunnel in the world, which was forged by an eruption on the island around 20,000 years ago. The mountains in the north are a good spot to view of the surreal landscape that resulted from the eruption, although even at ground level you can see traces.

Sicily
Just off the toe of Italy’s boot, the climate of Sicily benefits from its proximity to North Africa. Long ago, the Romans thought there were four gods of the wind, one blowing in each direction, but when visiting Sicily, you only have to concern yourself with one. The southern wind blowing up from the Sahara, combined with the Mediterranean sun, keeps the island warm all year round.
Sicilian food culture has the duality of local delicacies and national Italian favourites. When you’ve had your fill of street market delights, antipasti and pasta alla Norma, you can explore the island’s many wonders…enticing old towns, captivating ruins and stunning landscapes. Plus the pale gold beaches and bright blue seas make for the perfect spot to enjoy the sun.
Costa del Sol
The Costa has come a long way since the tourist boom of the 70s and 80s. A great base to explore the contrasts of Andalucia. You can find culturally significant sites and natural wonders often beside each other. In cities, you can explore narrow streets of the mediaeval centres before turning a corner and finding yourself in the glamour of a modern city.
